Members are called siblings in the Sapio community. There is simply no one prevailing characteristic of Sapio members other than the love for intelligence/ a high IQ and love for Mankind.
There are members for whom the community provides a sense of family, and others for whom it is a casual social activity. There have been many marriages/ business connections made in the community, but for many people, it is simply a stimulating opportunity for the mind.
Most Sapios have a good sense of humor, love for humanity and the sustainability of Mankind.
Our Community has ranged in age from over 10,000 members but most are between 24 and 60. In education they range from preschoolers to young entrepreneurs to people with multiple doctorates. There are members on welfare and members who are millionaires. As far as occupations, the range is staggering. We have professors, scientists and firefighters, computer programmers and farmers, artists, military people, musicians, laborers, police officers, glassblowers--the diverse list goes on and on. There are famous Members and prize-winning siblings etc. Many have graced us with their intelligence and have contributed immensely towards the growth and development of mankind. Have a look at our list of prominent siblings.
The word "Sapio" means "Wise/Intelligence" in Latin. The word Sapio is from Latin root sapiens, which means wise or intelligent, and Latin word sexualis/sexual, relating to the sexes (male /female)
I.e.: - intelligent/wise Fe (Male) Being sapiosexual simply put is one who finds intelligence the most attractive feature in a person. The Sapiosexual Community is an intelligence loving society, where race, color, creed, national origin, age, politics, educational or social background are irrelevant.
Our community takes no domineering or forceful stand on politics, religion or social issues. Our Siblings are from so many different countries and cultures with differing points of view that for our to espouse a particular point of view would go against its role as a forum for all points of view. Of course, individual sibling members often have strong opinions and several of them. It is said that in a room with 12 sapio siblings, you will find at least 13 differing opinions on any given subject!
Membership in the Sapio Community is open to persons who have attained a 65%score within the upper two percent of the general population on our IQ analysis approved intelligence test that has been properly administered and supervised. There is no other qualification or disqualification for initial membership eligibility, except making sure that people understand what the club is about and their roles and duties required of them.
